This article is prepared on the basis of a study on 134 doctorate students studying in different disciplines in University of Tabriz. The goal of this research is to explore the socialization ability of students in different faculties from different points of view. Theoretical framework is based on socialization model of Weidman and his colleagues on doctorate students (John. C. Weidman. Elizabeth L. Stein, 2003) through which different variants such as the university atmosphere, scientific support of professors, encouraging students to participate in scientific programs, interactions among students and with professors has been estimated. This research is accomplished using measurement method and questionnaire and the data obtained are statistically analyzed using SPSS software. Also using variance analysis test it is proved that the scientific socialization process of doctorate students differs in different faculties and a meaningful relationship rules among faculties. Also t. test proves that a very significant correlation is recognized between two groups of students: students who interact with professors differ from those who don’t from socialization dimensions. Pierson’s correlation test also manifests that there is no relation between scientific assessments of students about themselves and scientific socialization. In this research, the atmosphere of the university proves to be the main variant in socialization of doctorate students and its regression equation is shown with a collection of different variables. Also another regression test proves the credibility of the model. The achievements of this paper are novel in the field of research about socialization of doctorate students in Iran. Also it is an attempt to better present different forms of socialization process among students with experimental findings. Also it can be helpful for those who are in charge of educational issues to bring about an environment more applicable with scientific norms.
